'Why do you like to stay in Atlet Century Park, there are so many new hotels in Jakarta?' I am sometimes asked this question by my friends.
Yes, it is true and undeniable, this is not a new hotel. But this hotel has its own charm and character, which it has retained for many years. It is located at Jl. Pintu Satu Senanyan, Jakarta. Senanyan by the way is a prime business district in Jakarta. You can see many office buildings here. If you tell a taxi driver about this hotel, some may not be sure where it is. But not to worry, just tell them that it is next to Plaza Senanyan and they will understand.
What this hotel really need is a major refurbishment and renovation of the rooms, especially the Deluxe and Superior rooms. The bathroom especially is old and worn out. If the hotel owner can do that, then it would certainly add value to this hotel and attract higher value travelers. In term of size, the rooms are very spacious indeed. So if you are traveling with kids, this hotel will suit you comfortably. There are plenty of space for you to put your luggage and shopping bags.
When you open up the mini bar/fridge in your room, be surprise because it is totally empty. This is good news because you can go to the Supermarket at Plaza Senanyan and stock up your favorite drinks and fruits. If you are staying in a high floor, your room can command a beautiful view of the city. You can see the stadium as well as Plaza Senanyan.
Plaza Senanyan is very close to this hotel. No need to take a cab, just walk. Go down to the lobby, head straight to the rear entrance of this hotel. this is where you have to go if you want to go to tge swimming pool. Go straight to the open space car park, walk towards the payment booth; where all cars exit from here and walk straight. A few meters ahead, you can see cars driving up to the payment booth of Plaza Senanyan and you can see the mall itself.
The morning breakfast is served at the Senanyan cafe located on the ground floor. Be sure you asked for your breakfast vouchers during check in. I must say that the food here is good. There are plenty of variety of food to choose. I love the breakfast here.
Atlet Century Park hotel has consistently provided me with a comfortable stay. It is one of my favorite hotels in Jakarta.
